During this course you will acquire knowledge and skills to assess sources, distribution, fate, and effects of chemicals within different environmental biological systems. The course is a mixture of theory and practice and during a number of projects (alone and in small groups) you will face and solve ecotoxicological problems taken from real life. One of the projects is about classification and labelling of chemicals and another is about environmental risk assessment of pesticides. When preparing the written presentation of these projects and later on during your revision of the text you will improve your ability to write scientific text. The most important educational methods of this course are the projects and seminars where essential ecotoxicological concepts, facts and ideas are discussed.
